Coming home...

Well, a lot has happened in the past few days! Yesterday we celebrated Max's half birthday-6 months already! I can't believe that it's gone that fast. It's crazy how when you're a kid you pray for the days to speed up so you can get on to bigger and better things. When you finally grow up and have kids of your own, you begin to pray for time to slow down a little, so you can cherish what's in front of you today! Of course i took tons of pictures, just to capture the day...and because Meme's been begging for new ones! Tyler and I also got some great news yesterday....we're finally moving back to Indiana! Tyler accepted an offer from the Wabash YMCA to be the Aquatic Director. Once again we will have a very quick move-his first day is February 1st! We are so thankful that God opened a window when so many doors were closed..it is a true blessing. What a way to start the new year! Speaking of new year...i'm going to go ahead and post our family's goals for the year..maybe it will keep us more accountable! In 2009 we hope to :
  • improve our physical conditions (notice no promise of intense diet/exercise)
  • develop a solid financial plan. As soon as we get moved we will be starting the Total Money Makeover, based on the book from Dave Ramsey. We feel we have been called to take action to improve the use of our money both now and in the future.
  • Go camping. Tyler has a HUGE tent that he bought right before the wedding...and we've never used it. We plan to change that this summer.
  • Be more involved at church. We go, we love it, and we study at home. We want to be part of a study group though, and fellowship with other believers our age.
  • Finish Tyler's BSU degree. There's less than 2 semesters to be finished online...so close!
We feel confident this can all be done in the next year...please help push us on when we get "Stuck". Now...here are just a few random pictures since the New Year, including Max's 6 months :)

Eating on New Year's Eve :)

He was so excited to go see Daddy at the pool!
We love the trunks (thanks Aunt B!)

Playing in his crib when he should be napping-

Kels!!! I'm so excited for you three!!! Ok so I have to know...are you looking for a place in Wabash?? Because we will be so close...even if you're in Marion we are going to be so close!! My house is inbetween Marion and Wabash...yay...such exciting news! Let me know what you guys are thinking! It's funny too that you guys are wanting to start getting more involved with church..because that's exactly what Ben and I are trying to do..actually tonight I'm going to my first Bible study through our new church..kinda scary, but I'm excited that our church has this opportunity. Anyway..yay I'm excited if you can't tell : ) Love ya!
