Goodbye Grand Bear...

So I am finally done working at Grand Bear! Wednesday was my last day, i turned in my letter of resignation yesterday. It was such a relief! I hope that i can be as good at being a housewife as my mom & sister! I'm sure with nowhere to go during the day, I'll have to be! I've really got Spring Fever-so I'm wanting to clean & organize everything! Sometimes I just end up making bigger messes...:) As soon as my new license comes I'll begin working again, at least a few days a week. For now I'm just going to enjoy fulfilling my dream of being a housewife!

Hurry up Spring!

So in the anticipation of Spring, i went to the local home decor store and went a little crazy! This town doesn't have much as far as shopping goes, but i have found one treasure of a store, Deja Vu. They have every nook & cranny packed with fun finds & always have fresh coffee & cookies. I went in to get some Easter stuff, and came out with more than I thought! The picture of the nest & egg is a metal plaque for the Baby's room. The rooster & chick are replicas of vintage printed cut outs. I can't get enough of birds, nests, & eggs! For now they will trick my mind into spring, later they will accompany the picture in the Baby's room. I don't normally spend so much in one trip, but this is the reason i work! To not feel guilty about the joys in life :)

So sometimes life is crazy.... Lately Tyler & I have had completely opposite schedules! It gets frustrating knowing that we will only see each other in passing for days on end. Anymore just getting to sleep at night at the same time is a relief for us! We keep telling ourselves there's a light at the end of the tunnel...our hard work will pay off! We've taken joy in many small things lately:

• Hush Puppies from the Cajun Connection! It's the best southern cooking-right in Illinois! He likes the gator, i like the shrimp :) We waited for over 35 minutes just to get in!
• Movies on Demand! We love that we found the on demand section of our dish. We now get all sorts of movies at odd hours of the night! The latest watch was Harry Potter-Order of the Phoenix ( I can't help it...it's like a shorter Lord of the Rings!)
• Baby Q :) We're so excited we can actually feel the baby move now! Tyler won't fall asleep without his hand on my tummy-he doesn't want to miss it!
• Talking to my sister, brother-in-law, and nephews on the web cam! It's so funny to see each other with a delayed reaction!

Once again...we get to go back to Indiana soon! We'll be heading back Tuesday night and staying 2-3 nights! Woohoo!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy love day! Today's been pretty good, other than the fact that we're in Ottawa and not still at home! It was so hard waking up today & starting another day at work. I thought our Valentine's Day may be no fun with working opposite schedules, but i thought wrong! I got home from work to find that Tyler had cleaned up the apartment for me <3 I took a nap and decided to sleep off the time i couldn't see him. He called me with yet another surprise! He was keeping the waterpark running after closing tonight so we could enjoy it together :) It may not be anything huge, but it's the perfect thing to make my day :) So now i'm off trying to figure out exactly how you're supposed to look good when pregnant and in a bathing suit.....

A day in the life...

So life in the resort industry is never boring...it's always full of surprises! Poor Tyler had the worst day yesterday. He came home 5 hours early saying there were maintenance issues in the waterpark he manages. He looked so defeated....and there was nothing i could do to fix it! We made the night better though by getting some take out Mexican & watching TV! We're total "House Hunters" junkies! It was also a blessing in disguise because it allows us to go home early today :) We can't wait to be back in Indiana, if only for 2 days! Now if the next few hours could just fly by.....

And baby makes three...

So we went for an ultrasound today. It's only at 18 weeks, so we have to go back in a few weeks to find out the sex. It's so amazing to see the life that's forming inside of you! I marvel at how detailed God was when he created us. We can already hear & see the heartbeat. Baby Q was moving quite a bit, so we got to see fingers, toes, and both legs! I'm starting to feel little movements, so it must not be much longer until i feel it more often! We feel so blessed to have such a miracle in our life :) Hope you are feeling just as blessed today!
